CAS Game #133 - One Layer + Love

STOP PRESS
Yay! We've made it to 500 followers on this blog. Thank you all so much! To say thank you there will be a random draw of one of our followers for a small prize on the next winners post - 10th February.

Hey!
Today we've a brand new challenge starting and the theme is that very popular and favourite of CAS card makers - One Layer.

And since it's that time of year when Valentine's Day cards are everywhere we've added in the extra twist of LOVE.

We'll pick a top winner and some runners up!
It could be you!

Our sponsor this fortnight is STAMPlorations and the prize is a $25 gift code to their shop.

Shery from STAMPlorations has made this fabulous, sunny and cheery card with STAMPlorations goodies to inspire you to play along.

Thank you Shery and STAMPlorations

As well as the 1st place prize from our sponsor we also offer the winner the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future AAA Cards Challenge.

We are delighted to welcome Mac Mable as our Guest designer for this challenge. Her cards are just outstanding and her blog is a wealth of inspiration and ideas for using different techniques. Go give her some love!

All the AAA Cards DT have made CAS cards to inspire you.  It would be lovely if you visited our blogs and left us some love too!

  2. One stupid question, regarding GAME #133 One layer. Does that mean it has to be the folded cardstock only or one layer on it. I seldom if ever work directly on my folded cardstock, because I use Promarkers which leaks to the back (inside) Thanks. Always a joy to 'think' about the 'game' even though I go brain dead and don't always submit.

    1. Hi Huny! Great question. We're happy to accept a top piece of card that fits the front of a base card perfectly for our one layer challenge. We understand about pens bleeding through.

  4. Hi, can I just check - I use a white panel on top of my white base as my card isn't thick enough to just use the base card, is this still one layer?

    1. Hi Lynne! As long as the top panel is a perfect fit for the base card without any of the base card showing around the edges of the panel or any cut outs then we're happy to accept that as a one layer card for our challenge. We also accept an inlaid die as still being one layer. Hope that helps. :)

  6. I know "white space" can be colored, so hopefully it's OK for it to be 2 colors. Very creative & inspiring cards by the DT & Shery & Mac! Congrats on reaching 500 followers!

    1. The important thing for AAA Cards is that the white space should be completely plain without any pattern or texture.
