#28 Maria

Oh what a fabulous image for the theme! And how perfectly executed with a corner placement and loads of delicious empty white space. Absolutely brilliant!

Congratulations Maria,
please contact Jane by 16th December to claim your prize - aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

Top Three

 In order of entry

#1 Christine

A classic CAS one layer card using the top third for the image. We loved the motivational nature of the sentiment quote too.

#18 Ishani/Quillish

The repeated stamping is such a fantastic way to show movement and we loved the gradual fading of the colours too. The central placement of the image and sentiment leaves it surrounded by beautiful empty white space.

Another central focal image and sentiment leaving yummy white space all around. We also loved the simplicity of the monochromatic colour scheme, with a super image like the galloping horse it really says it all without colours.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #129 is Mostly White and there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.

We'd love to see how you interpret this theme and come visit your blogs,

Using a strip across a card to place all the elements is another favourite way to keep your cards CAS. And such gorgeous colouring too!

We loved how Christine created the look of layers and textures by clever blending. The empty white space down one side is just perfect.

We loved Mugdha's stunning use of colour to create such a detailed little scene inside her circular focal point. Great placement too, leaving plenty of empty white space.

Such a super fun and vibrant card. We loved the 3D look of torn paper as the focal background and all the empty white space.

#10 Carol S

Oh yes I remember The Onedin line very well!  We loved how such a detailed little scene placed centrally still left all that important empty white space.

Another corner placement of the focal image - love it! And popping a die cut back into its aperture - an inlaid die - keeps everything beautifully CAS.

Movement created by a curved sentiment strip really caught our eye on this card. Oh and of course that adorable snowman image! The using about one third of the card is the CAS technique we admired on this card.

Another detailed scene kept beautifully CAS by its central placement leaving loads of empty white space all around.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

So much movement with the explosion of butterflies! A simple colour scheme, minimal layers and plenty of empty white space - just how we like it here at AAA Cards.

#28 Francesca

Hard to resist this pretty little fairy! We loved the subtle inking in the background too. And well over half of this card is that beautiful empty white space!

#31Cimbacreativefun

Oh don't we all agree with this sentiment! Another example of subtle background inking that doesn't compromise the empty white space.

The Winners Circle #123: Sketch

It's time to showcase our fabulous prize winner and runners up for Game #123 - Sketch

Thank you for all your wonderful CAS cards. We were delighted to see how cleverly you used our sketch and the number of beautifully CAS cards was truly amazing and made us all very happy!

Of course this made our decisions even more difficult, but here's our picks:

1st place
and winner of a $20 giftcard to Happy Little Stampers:

 #76 Kim S

The sketch challenge winner was Jane's choice and here's what she has to say about Kim's card:

'Well I'm always a sucker for purple and balloons so of course my eye was immediately drawn to Kim's card. On closer examination I loved how she combined die cuts, embossing and a shaker without compromising the empty white space we're always looking for in CAS cards. So crisp ad clean, just brilliant!'

Congratulations Kim,

#6 Cimbacreative fun

A super use of the sketch leaving all the empty white space we love, but adding such amazing interest inside the circle with the use of alcohol inks and a die cut. An absolute beauty!

How impressive is the inking inside the circle on Anita's card. And once again a card that's left all the empty white space we were hoping for when drawing this sketch. Stunning card Anita!

Well this card certainly melted our hearts Liz! An absolutely beautiful scene inside the circle from the sketch. And you know what else I'm going to say - yes, fabulous empty white space!

#24  Janet

CAS perfection! We loved the horizontal strip placement of this completely one layer card with the addition of just a few enamel dots and masses of empty white space.

The corner placement of the simple stencilled circles really showcases the dandelion silhouettes. The addition of just a few clear enamel dots keeps this card beautifully CAS.

Another stunning use of that corner placement! We loved the bold hello and the pretty colours of this perfectly CAS card.

most beautiful cards and we had a tough time picking our favourites.

But it had to be done so here we go:

1st place

Trina P.

We were bowled over by all that dramatic dark blue empty white space combined with the most exquisite single butterfly and the simple font of the greeting.

Congratulations Trina,

#29 Kaja

How gorgeous is that stamped, masked and inked use of a heart stencil? A simple font for the greeting and just a few scattered embellishments leaving plenty of white space made this card a DT favourite.

#45 Joyce

A fabulous quote about friendship combined with a simply coloured focal stamp. We liked the single matted layer to frame the card too. A real CAS beauty!

Well this card was quite irresistible! Apart from the very cute single image the partial use of a stencil in the background leaving plenty of empty white space really caught our eye.

Izzy's card uses one of our favourite ways to keep a card CAS - the one third used, two thirds empty style. The minimal embellishment and the crisp sharp stamping and inking also very appealing.

The Winners Circle #120: Somewhere Over The Rainbow

It's time to showcase our fabulous prize winner and runners up for Game # 120

Thank you for all your gorgeous cards, our gallery was filled with the
most beautiful cards and we had a tough time picking our favourites.

But it had to be done so here we go:

1st place
and winner of a $15 gift certificate to Stamplorations

#36 Alex Syberia

The central placement of the line of fussy cut rainbow gifts and greeting on Alex's card allows for all that lovely empty white space. As the images were small the use of foam to give added dimension didn't compromise the overall CAS look of the card.

Congratulations Alex, we loved the crisp and minimal look of your card!
Please contact Jane with your details - aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

#55 Maria

The placement of the rainbow butterflies to one side of Maria's card leaves lots of empty white space. The simple font with just one loopy font word and the small size of the greeting maintains this empty white space. We loved the no-line butterflies that echoed our challenge graphic.

Just using one third of the card allows a more complex design of stamps to be used without loosing the empty white space or CAS feel of Cornelia's card. We loved the contrast of the straight and curved lines.

A small rainbow coloured die cut and a greeting with a simple font looks perfect on Marianne's beautiful CAS card. We loved the the pops of white that break up the colours.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #121 is Friendship and there is still plenty of time to get your CAS entries in.

#26 Izzy

It was Ceal's choice of challenge and her turn to pick the winner. She had a tough time choosing but in the end it was the blue of Izzy's card that just drew her in, she loved how it popped against all the gorgeous empty white space.

Congratulations Izzy,
please contact Jane with your details - aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

#15 Ana

We loved the almost all white colour scheme - always a brilliant choice when creating CAS cards - and the single focal point of the silver bell inside the simple die cut window is so beautiful.

#34 Kim

A trio of trees grouped together to make a single focal point is so pleasing to the eye and we loved the way the subtle background colour around them helped to add cohesion.

#74 Joy

A perfect example of a CAS card with its single focal point and masses of empty white space. We loved it!
