The Winners Circle #148: Sketch + Animals

It's time to showcase our fabulous prize winner and runners up for Game # 148 Sketch + the optional twist of using animals.

And didn't you all make spectacular use of that oh so simple sketch. We were delighted to see so many amazing CAS cards in the gallery and had the toughest time ever picking favourites!

But it had to be done so here we go:

1st place
and winner of two digi stamps from Craftyscrappers is:

#21 Emily
How cute is that panda and how cheeky that sentiment! The simple colour scheme with the accents of lime green and all that fabulous open and empty white space made this card a top pick with the AAA Cards DT.

Congratulations Emily,
please contact Jane with your details - aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

#24 Izzy

We said it was OK to rotate or flip the sketch and if this is the result from doing that then we're super thrilled to see it done. Do I need to mention all that glorious empty white space?
#54 Sari/Granne

Well this lazing cat stamp could have been made especially for our sketch. The simple black and white colour scheme and smooth white space all make it a classic combo for a perfect CAS card.

#67 Cardogram

Just look at this pile up of cuteness! Perfect placement and a purrfect sentiment really caught our eye. Oh and of course that empty white space!

#78 Trina

Seems that panda stamp really appealed to us! So much going on in this little scene, but by keeping it all contained within one strip it still satisfies our CAS requirements.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #149 is Up to One Third + an Inlaid Die  and there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.

We'd love to see how you interpret this theme and come visit your blogs,

CAS Game #149 - Up to One Third + Optional Twist An Inlaid Die

Hi!

Time for a new challenge here at AAA Cards.

One of the ways card makers keep their cards CAS is to only use one third or less of the card front. The rest of the card is left completely empty without any pattern, embossing or texture. And that's our theme for the next two weeks!

We'll pick a top winner and some runners up!
It could be you!

Our sponsor this fortnight is Funky Fossil for a generous £15.00 credit to their store

Funky Fossil

We're delighted that Sarah from Funky Fossil has joined in with us and played along too. Follow the link to discover all the info about the products she used.

Thank you Sarah and Funky Fossil

We also have the very talented and exciting card maker Joy Dsouza joining us as our Guest designer for this challenge.

How amazing is her card! So much packed in to just one third, a perfect example of how very appealing a CAS card can be!

And of course the AAA Cards DT have also been busy and have created the most fabulous inspiration to help you kick start your own creativity.

Simple colours, a crisp focal image and that all important empty white space make this card beautifully CAS.

Even though the focal image spreads across the front of the card, its simplicity of colour and clean lines still keep it CAS. And there is still plenty of empty white space too.

The random nature and multi colours of this card seem to disprove everything I've been saying about simplicity and clean lines so why is it still CAS?  It's the placement of the images, the empty white space at the top and the lack of layers or embellishments that keep it CAS.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #147 is Along the Edge with the extra twist of Inspired by a Song and there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.
