Game #188 - One Inch Strip + optional twist Small Stamps

 Hi!

Time for the next challenge here at AAA Cards. And it's another new theme for us, hope you like it!

Here's some guidelines about the one inch strip:

The one inch strip can be horizontal, vertical or diagonal, but everything, including a sentiment if used, must be contained within it. It can also be curved, bendy, zig-zag etc and doesn't have to stretch from one edge to another.

The key things are that everything must be contained within it and the rest of the card should be empty white space.

We're delighted to welcome Asa as our Guest Designer for this challenge. Asa plays along and links up from her Instagram feed.

Isn't that just the most awesome use of the One Inch Strip? Wondering why I didn't think to leave space at each end on my card!

Let's see what the AAA Cards DT have been up to with this new theme.

Lots of wonderful inspiration to kickstart your imagination!

We're looking forward to seeing your CAS cards fill our gallery. Just remember here at AAA Cards we love empty, non patterned white space.

The Winners Circle #186 Along the Edge + Only Diecuts

It's time to showcase our overall winner and runners up for Game #186

Thank you for all your gorgeous cards, our gallery was filled with the most beautiful cards and we had a tough time picking our favourites.

But it had to be done so here we go:

The twist was chosen by Lucie and she’s chosen her favourite:

#16 - Pam Sparks

There were so many beautiful cards in the gallery, it was very difficult to choose just one winner. I kept coming back to Pam's eye-catching CAS card. Lots of white space, of course, plus I love that dramatic pop of colour and how she used our optional twist of die cuts only. I really thought that strip was patterned paper when I first saw the card!

Congratulations Pam!

A stunning strip of inking with a striking inlaid die. Total magic and superbly CAS with all that empty white space. We loved its stylish look.

#9 LoopyLoo

Two for one - how awesome is that! We loved the monochromatic colour scheme and the crisp sharp use of die cuts.

 #34 Vicky

Such a clever use of die cuts along the top edge. We loved how they were chopped to prevent the all important white space being compromised.

Such a pretty inky border and loads of empty white space. We loved the dainty die cut strip, just perfect for Along the Edge.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #187 is Two Quarters + optional twist Rainbow and there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.

We'd love to see how you interpret this theme and come visit your blogs, so don't delay, get crafting!

Game #187 - Two Quarters + optional twist Rainbows

Hello and welcome to the next challenge here at AAA Cards.

We have another new to us theme for this challenge - Two Quarters. We're really looking forward to seeing how you interpret that!

Here's a little guidance about the type of thing we are looking for:

  • there needs to be two distinct quarters on your CAS card
  • two quarters could be one half, but we'd like to see a space between the quarters if this is the layout you opt for
  • ideally we'd like to see all images and the sentiment confined to the two quarters, but we will allow a sentiment to straddle the two quarters or even a sentiment outside of the two quarters as long as it's not too big or dominant
  • the rest of the card should be plain empty 'white' space without any pattern, texture or embossing

We hope you'll have fun with this new theme!

We're delighted to welcome Katrina as our Guest Designer for this challenge and she has used the optional twist of rainbow and the top half for her beautiful card.

I hope you'll have time to pop over to her blog to admire her cards and leave her a lovely comment while you're there.

And now it's time to see what the AAA Cards DT have been up to with this theme.

A CAS beauty with everything contained within the one inch square. Such a sweet image too.

We loved how this free inchie contained so many little details.

Another free inchie with an enormous awww factor.

The black 'white' space is awesome and the inchie frame to contain the greeting is a fabulous touch.

Hello and welcome to the next challenge here at AAA Cards.

For the next couple of weeks we'd like to see your CAS cards with their focal point Along The Edge. The optional twist is to use only die cuts, so if you've a few dies lurking in your stash now might be a good time to give them an airing.

We're delighted to welcome Wendi as our guest Designer for this challenge and she has made the cutest ever card to inspire you.

Wendi is a player from instagram, follow the link to see this and all her other awesome cards.
