The Winners Circle #120: Somewhere Over The Rainbow

It's time to showcase our fabulous prize winner and runners up for Game # 120

Thank you for all your gorgeous cards, our gallery was filled with the
most beautiful cards and we had a tough time picking our favourites.

But it had to be done so here we go:

1st place
and winner of a $15 gift certificate to Stamplorations

#36 Alex Syberia

The central placement of the line of fussy cut rainbow gifts and greeting on Alex's card allows for all that lovely empty white space. As the images were small the use of foam to give added dimension didn't compromise the overall CAS look of the card.

Congratulations Alex, we loved the crisp and minimal look of your card!

#55 Maria

The placement of the rainbow butterflies to one side of Maria's card leaves lots of empty white space. The simple font with just one loopy font word and the small size of the greeting maintains this empty white space. We loved the no-line butterflies that echoed our challenge graphic.

Just using one third of the card allows a more complex design of stamps to be used without loosing the empty white space or CAS feel of Cornelia's card. We loved the contrast of the straight and curved lines.

A small rainbow coloured die cut and a greeting with a simple font looks perfect on Marianne's beautiful CAS card. We loved the the pops of white that break up the colours.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #121 is Friendship and there is still plenty of time to get your CAS entries in.
We'd love to see how you interpret this theme and come visit your blogs,
so don't delay, get crafting!

We're all friends here in the crafting community aren't we? So for the next fortnight we'd love your CAS cards to be themed around FRIENDSHIP.

It could be you!

Our sponsor this fortnight is CAS-ual Fridays with a super $25 gift certificate to their shop for our winner.

CAS-ual Fridays Stamps

Thank you CAS-ual Fridays!

As well as the 1st place prize from our sponsor we also offer the winner the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future AAA Cards Challenge.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Sandie from London Days. We're delighted to have her and her wonderful CAS style of card making. I'm sure you all know Sandie, she used to be a valued member of our DT, and her blog is always full of the type of CAS cards we so love here at AAA Cards.

See what I mean? All that beautiful empty white space, one focal point and minimal embellishments. The simple monochromatic colour scheme also works wonders! Do go visit her blog - HERE - and leave her some well deserved CAS love.

All the AAA Cards DT have made friendly CAS cards to inspire you.  It would be lovely if you visited our blogs and left us some love too!

The Winners Circle #119: Christmas in July

It's time to showcase our fabulous prize winner and runners up for Game # 119

Thank you for all your gorgeous cards, our gallery was filled with the
most beautiful cards and we had a tough time picking our favourites.

But it had to be done so here we go:

1st place
and winner of a $20 gift certificate from Happy Little Stampers

#26 Izzy

It was Ceal's choice of challenge and her turn to pick the winner. She had a tough time choosing but in the end it was the blue of Izzy's card that just drew her in, she loved how it popped against all the gorgeous empty white space.

Congratulations Izzy,

#15 Ana

We loved the almost all white colour scheme - always a brilliant choice when creating CAS cards - and the single focal point of the silver bell inside the simple die cut window is so beautiful.

#34 Kim

A trio of trees grouped together to make a single focal point is so pleasing to the eye and we loved the way the subtle background colour around them helped to add cohesion.

#74 Joy

A perfect example of a CAS card with its single focal point and masses of empty white space. We loved it!

The Winners Circle #118: Frame

It's time to showcase our fabulous prize winner and runners up for Game # 118

Thank you for all your gorgeous cards, our gallery was filled with the
most beautiful cards and we had a tough time picking our favourites.

But it had to be done so here we go:

1st place
and winner of a $15 STAMPlorations gift certificate

#30 Alex

Ksenija says: I picked this card because it was something really fresh in the gallery. I like it for its lightness and minimalism. By using the 'white' space around the image as a frame Alex has made it look like a framed picture.

Congratulations Alex,
please contact Jane with your details - aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

Top Four

#14 Morticraft

We at AAA cards loved this entry from Morticraft. Because it had lots and lots of white space, no texture and the sentiment in black contrasts beautifully with the white Polaroid frame and pastel colours.

#76 Priyanka

The handdrawn frame, was something different and the pop of colour against all the empty space (white space) is just yummy, sorry I couldn't resist the pun.

#111 Metarakanova/Marina

We loved the focal point escaping the frame and the soft colours. The splatters can quickly fill up our beloved white space, but here they were used sparingly

#116 Maria

One focal point, minimal layers and lots and lots of white space, just what we love at AAA cards.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #119 is Christmas in July and there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.
