The Winners Circle #118: Frame

It's time to showcase our fabulous prize winner and runners up for Game # 118

Thank you for all your gorgeous cards, our gallery was filled with the
most beautiful cards and we had a tough time picking our favourites.

But it had to be done so here we go:

1st place
and winner of a $15 STAMPlorations gift certificate

#30 Alex

Ksenija says: I picked this card because it was something really fresh in the gallery. I like it for its lightness and minimalism. By using the 'white' space around the image as a frame Alex has made it look like a framed picture.

Congratulations Alex,
please contact Jane with your details - aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

Top Four

 In order of entry

#14 Morticraft

We at AAA cards loved this entry from Morticraft. Because it had lots and lots of white space, no texture and the sentiment in black contrasts beautifully with the white Polaroid frame and pastel colours.

#76 Priyanka

The handdrawn frame, was something different and the pop of colour against all the empty space (white space) is just yummy, sorry I couldn't resist the pun.

#111 Metarakanova/Marina

We loved the focal point escaping the frame and the soft colours. The splatters can quickly fill up our beloved white space, but here they were used sparingly

#116 Maria

One focal point, minimal layers and lots and lots of white space, just what we love at AAA cards.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #119 is Christmas in July and there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.

We'd love to see how you interpret this theme and come visit your blogs,
so don't delay, get crafting!

CAS Game #119 - Christmas in July

Welcome to a new challenge here at AAA Cards!

The theme for this challenge was picked by Ceal and she'd like you to get your CAS Christmas vibes going in plenty of time so you don't get caught up in all the rush in December.

We'll pick a top winner and some runners up!
It could be you!

Our sponsor this fortnight is Happy Little Stampers and Kylie is also joining in with a colourful CAS card to inspire you to play along.

Happy Little Stampers

As well as the 1st place prize from our sponsor we also offer the winner the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future AAA Cards Challenge.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is the awesome Maria from White Mood. Now she knows a thing or two about creating CAS cards so if you're not too sure her blog would be a terrific place to look! And please remember to leave her some lovely comments while you're there.

All the AAA Cards DT have also put their Christmas hats on and created the most amazing CAS cards to inspire you.  It would be lovely if you visited our blogs and left us some lovely comments too!

The Winners Circle #117: Geometrics

It's time to showcase our fabulous prize winner and runners up for Game #117.
It was DT member Elaine's challenge choice and Geometrics certainly went down a storm with you!

Thank you for all your gorgeous cards. Our gallery was filled with the
most beautiful cards and we had a tough time picking some favourites.

But it had to be done so here we go:

1st place
(chosen by Elaine)
and winner of an in stock stamp set from Uniko

#30 Hannelie

So crisp and clean with the simple colour scheme! And how clever to use a circle to keep the geometrics under control and stay CAS.

Congratulations Hannelie,
please contact Jane with your details - aaacardchallenge@gmail.com

Top Three

 In order of entry

#22 Jen W.

A simple line of triangles made our CAS hearts happy! Look at how they are placed to leave plenty of empty white space.

#44 Jen Mitchell
A bit of spotlight colouring and a bold and simple font for the greeting keeps this card interesting, eye catching and CAS.

#76 Wei

A fabulous example of how a busy stencil can still be CAS -  only use it on the bottom half.

Congratulations to you all, please grab our winners badge to display on your blogs.

Our current Challenge #118 is Use A Frame and there is still plenty of time to get your entries in.

We'd love to see how you interpret this theme and come visit your blogs,

CAS Game #118 - Use A Frame

Here we go again with a brand new challenge! Ksenija has chosen the theme for the next fortnight and she'd like to see a frame on your CAS cards.

We'll pick a top winner and some runners up!

It could be you!

Our sponsor this fortnight is STAMPlorations for a $15 gift certificate to their shop.

Shery from STAMPlorations is getting us off to a fabulous start and has made this card using goodies from her shop:

Thank you Shery for your sponsorship and beautiful card.

As well as the 1st place prize from our sponsor we also offer the winner the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future AAA Cards Challenge.

Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Natasha from Craft Away With Me.  Although she says she is quite new to blogging her blog already has the most delicious samples that are sure to inspire you. Do go take a look!

Her Guest Design card is an absolute delight with plenty of empty white space to keep it CAS.

Not sure what makes a card CAS? Then check out our definition here or just absorb some inspiration from the DT cards.
