Happy New Year!
And welcome back to a whole new year of challenges here at AAA Cards.
And welcome back to a whole new year of challenges here at AAA Cards.
Before we get down to the nitty gritty of our first 2018 challenge we've a couple of announcements to make.
First we are very sad to see long time and supremely talented DT member Coralynn say goodbye to us and her AAA Cards journey. We wish her every success and much happiness for the future both in her crafting and personal life.
But the flip side to this is that we get to greet a brand new DT member who I'm sure you will all grow to love just as much. A big warm and heartfelt welcome to Bharati. Bharati will be joining in from our next challenge on 21st January but has written a little introduction to share with you today.
Hello everybody!
I am
Bharati Nayudu and I am so grateful and excited to be a part of AAACards
DT. I live in Visakhapatnam, a coastal city in India with my 10yrs old son (who
loves to craft as well) and my loving husband – my soulmate. I have a talented
lil sister who is my best pal and an artist.
I am an HR
executive by profession and a crafter at heart, committed to spreading handmade
happiness. I started blogging and entering online craft challenges from Aug
this year. Although, I am quite new to the blogland, thanks to the very
encouraging and supportive crafting community, I feel completely at home. It is as if the mothership found me and now I
live in the world of crafts :-)
Looking forwards to do my best at AAA Cards.
Love
Bharati
So on to our first challenge for 2018 and a theme that seems even more appropriate now than it did when we chose it a while back.
It is not necessary to include this quote or any other quote on your CAS
card, but we'd like you to use it to inspire your creativity. It could
be as simple as using some new stash that you were lucky enough to
receive for Christmas or using a new to you technique or a card to
encourage you or someone else to stick to their New Year plans ......
We'll pick a top winner and some runners up!
It could be you!
Our sponsor this fortnight is Happy Little Stampers
Thank you Kylie from Happy Little Stampers for agreeing to sponsor us for another year and joining us as a Guest Designer. You are a star!
As well as the 1st place prize from our sponsor we also offer the winner the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future AAA Cards Challenge.
Our Guest Designer for this challenge is our wonderful sponsor Kylie from Addicted to Stamps.
We are so lucky to have such an amazingly talented CAS card maker join us for this challenge and I know you'll be blown away by her card. If you go visit her blog you'll find a wealth of inspiration and come away feeling so inspired.
We're looking forward to seeing your CAS cards fill our gallery. Just remember here at AAA Cards we love empty, non patterned white space.
just placed my card. Hope you like it. The strawberry pink is almost the same color as the hair of this little troll that's why I put a lilac marbled paper on top (waterpaint). My new technique is no line coloring. For the first time, It came out great!
ReplyDeleteGreat to have you playing along and sharing your new technique Saskia. :)
