Hey!
Welcome to our new challenge and let's meet and greet our new Design Team members as they tell us a little about themselves.
We had such a terrific response to our DT Call and would like to say a HUGE thank you to each and everyone of you who added DT after your names in the gallery. We really appreciate all your support and love that so many of you would have liked to join us ....... but we only had room for two and here they are .....
Melissa
Hi, everyone!
My name is Melissa and I'm thrilled to be joining the Design Team here at AAA Cards. I'm originally from Tennessee, but moved to Southern California over 20 years ago. By day, I work as a System Administrator/Software Developer in the aerospace industry, but love to spend my evenings crafting.
I've been a making cards for around 15 years, but also love to knit and cross stitch. While my preferred card style is definitely clean and simple (CAS), I love creating cards of all styles. I'll definitely be sticking to CAS here though. I love coloring with my Copic markers, but also enjoy using a variety of coloring mediums (watercolor, colored pencils, etc.).
When I'm not in my craft room, I love to read, listen to music, and watch TV.

Hi Everyone!
My name is Nancy and I'm from Calgary Alberta Canada. I am a wife of 28 years, a mom to two grown boys (ages 24 and 22), a fur-mom to a dog and a cat (Willis and Miikka) and I work full time doing front desk duties at a chiropractors office. I have been card making for 23 years... my Mom was someone who loved to craft and she found stamping at a local craft fair and got herself hooked.... a few months later on a visit home to see her, she had me hooked at heat embossing. My first big project was making my youngest son's birth announcements. Over the years I have played, taught classes, worked in paper crafting stores and even taken small breaks from this great craft... but I have been back spending much of my spare time making cards in the last 18 months again. My favourite style is clean and simple however I think I will find it a bit of a challenge to stick to the strict guidelines of the AAA Team.... but I look forward to pushing myself!
When I'm not working or card making, I enjoy reading, watching TV, walking (I've been for a walk every day for almost 3 years) and riding my motorcycle with my hubby (although we haven't done a lot of that lately).
So we're very blessed to have them join us here at AAA Cards and know you will love their CAS cards and enjoy their creativity.
Here's our new challenge
I know the Christmas in july optional twist will be a big favourite and give you all opportunities to play along with several challenges at the same time - which is absolutely fine, but can I just ask you to remember that the Maxi White Space is the main theme here at AAA Cards.
We'll pick a top winner and some runners up!
Our sponsor this fortnight is The Ink Road for an incredibly generous $30 gift code to be spent on stamps from their store.
Thank you The Ink Road!
As well as the 1st place prize from our sponsor we also offer the winner the chance to be a Guest Designer for a future AAA Cards Challenge.
Our Guest Designer for this challenge is Shona. She has created the most gorgeous card with a little bit of sparkle too.
Got to love that sweet little puppy masquerading as a deer! Do go visit her blog - twinearound - and tell her how gorgeous it is.
All the AAA Cards DT have challenged themselves to see just how much white space there can be on a CAS card, I know they will inspire you. It would be lovely, if you have the time, to leave us some love on our blogs too.
Fabulous DT Cards hugs XoX

DeleteThanks for the fun challenge! I love all the white space! I wanted to use a new stamp so I didn't go with the option this time but I hope to make another card for the challenge with the Christmas option!
ReplyDeleteThat's absolutely fine, Christmas in July was optional, but it will be fabulous if you get time to play again! :)
DeleteWOW!! I am in awe of the fabulous DT samples. I love seeing all the simply elegant and sweet designs. I esp like Lucie's adorable card in the pastels.
ReplyDeleteCAS is not at all my usual style...but maxi white space is the only way I know how to do it so your challenge hit a note with me! lol..
Thank you for this challenge. I am inspired to try CAS more often.
